CELEBRATION OF THE MOTORCYCLE
COMING TO DEL MAR THIS OCTOBER 15TH!
Del Mar, California — On Saturday, October 15, 2011, the beautiful Del Mar Race Track Paddock will be filled with the two-wheeled marvels of engineering as Celebration of the Motorcycle honors and showcases coveted classic and legendary motorcycles from around the world. American, European, British and Japanese – the finest examples will all be there, each with their own pedigree and important place in history. They all have a story to tell.

Entrants will vie to win one of the coveted awards for best in their class and the most coveted award, “Best of Show.” The event will also feature the exciting “People’s Choice Award.” Collectors, afficionados and just those that love “bikes” won’t want to miss the chance to cast their vote.

Celebration of the Motorcycle is proud to announce that the 2011 event will feature co-grand marshals: AMA Hall of Fame member and winner of the first AMA Grand National Championship Bobby Hill and AMA Hall of Fame member and three-time Daytona 200 winner Dick Klamfoth.”

These legendary racers will be in attendance on Saturday, October 15, 2011, at the Paddock and will be honored for their contributions to classic motorcycle history.

The Del Mar Race Track Paddock is no stranger to showcasing the finest classic bike shows and Tim Henry, Chairman and CEO of the Del Mar Concours d’Elegance, is honored to be able to bring back an event of this magnitude and richness to San Diego and Del Mar.

Celebration of the Motorcycle is presented in conjunction with the 2011 Del Mar Concours d’Elegance antique and classic automobile event, which will be held Sunday, October 16, 2011. Each day is reserved for its own group; Saturday is motorcycles, while Sunday is cars. Separate entry fees and public admissions are required for both events.
